At a Glance: Rustic undulating planing head for the Festool HL 850, designed to create concave, scalloped, trimmed or chipped surface effects on solid wood.

The Festool HK 82 RW Planing Head is a specialist rustic planer head designed for creative surface texturing with the Festool HL 850 planer. This undulating version creates a concave, wave-like planing result that can imitate hand-hewn, trimmed or chipped timber surfaces. By using selective, irregular passes, woodworkers can transform plain solid timber into dramatic rustic surfaces with the character of reclaimed wood, old beams or hand-worked furniture. It is an outstanding accessory for furniture makers, carpenters, interior finishers and woodworkers who want to add bold texture, depth and authentic timber character to their projects.
